The Red Bull Air Race World Series comes to America’s Finest City featuring the world’s most skilled pilots, in which competitors navigate a challenging aerial race track, in the fastest possible time.

Pilots fly individually against the clock and must complete tight turns through a slalom course consisting of specially designed pylons known as “air gates.”

September 21st, Friday, is Qualifying Day and Saturday, September 22nd, will be the Race Finals. On Qualifying Day each of the 13 pilots has two runs each (28 in total) and the two slowest pilots are eliminated from the race. The Elimination Round on Saturday has the remaining 11 pilots make another run and the four slowest pilots are eliminated from the race. The Race Final has the remaining seven pilots compete in a knockout style competition (Quarterfinal, Semifinal, Consolation Final (to decide 3rd place) and the Grand Finale.

The best place to watch the event will be the North and South Embarcadero Parks. The Parks will be the heart of all activity on the race days. They will be outfitted with state of the art sound systems and video screens, concessions, as well as interactive activities. TICKETS ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER.

Race Club

The Race Club will be located on the North Embarcadero Island in a separated area to the public ticketed area providing a premium experience with best available view, sound and onsite entertainment including food and beverages. Race Club tickets include the following:

• Drinks and canapes on arrival

The High Flyer’s Lounge will be located on Coronado Island with a perfect view to the skyline of downtown. It is the premium hospitality area providing outstanding service and a great atmosphere. High Flyer’s Lounge passes include the following:

Please note ticket holders will not be permitted to leave the event site and re-enter for crowd management reasons. Military Discount $5 off general admission tickets. Kids under 6 are free when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Those with hospitality tickets WILL be able to re-enter.
