The USA Triathlon Art and Science of Triathlon International Coaching Symposium will feature a dynamic lineup of international and national experts in triathlon.

Presenters include: Robbie Ventura, Dr. Istvan Balyi, Dr. Genadijus Sokolvas, Melissa Mantak, Dr. Massimo Testa, Ian Murray, Bob Seebohar, Sage Rountree, Bobby McGee, Brad Carlson, Gordo Byrn, Dr. Duston Morris, Julie O’Neill, and more.

Two presentation tracks based on coaching experience will be available. One track will focus on experienced coaches working with advanced and ITU athletes while the other track will focus on coaches working with beginner and youth athletes. Topics will include Sports Nutrition, Run Mechanics and Drills, Yoga, Preparation for Competition to Maximize Performance, Paratriathlon Classifications and Training, Secrets to Speed on the Bike, Youth Participation and Research, Mental Skills, Periodization, Advanced Swimming Techniques for Elite Athletes, and Testing, Interpretation and Application, and many more.

Schedule of Events
Check-in for the Symposium will begin on Thursday, October 25th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. The Symposium will begin at 9:00 AM on Friday, October 26th and will conclude at 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 27th. A reception will be held on Friday, October 26 for all conference attendees at the host hotel

A schedule of events including the keynote speaker will be posted shortly.

Symposium Details
USAT Certified Coaches earn 15 CEU’s for attending the entire conference.

Price of the Symposium is $499.00 which includes two lunches and snacks (Friday and Saturday). All meals will be served at the Symposium site. The Symposium fee also includes the group run and yoga class, vendor expo, Friday night reception, the keynote presentation and a complimentary cycling jersey.

This Symposium will feature breakout sessions as well as a vendor expo.

Accommodations
The host hotel for this event is the Hyatt Regency La Jolla. A block of rooms has been reserved for attendees at a discounted rate. A link for online reservations will be provided after registration. The discounted rate will be available until September 25, 2012 or until the block has been filled.

Overnight guests of the La Jolla Hyatt, will also have free access to the heated outdoor lap pool, StayFit 24 Fitness Center, and The Sporting Club and Spa, a 32,000 square foot deluxe fitness center and spa (10.23-10.28 only).

The Hyatt features several dining options and numerous restaurants are within walking distance.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations after July 25, 2012 result in a $50 penalty
Cancellations after August 25, 2012 result in a $150 penalty
Cancellations after September 25, 2012, no refunds, no exceptions

Travel
San Diego International Airport (Lindberg Field) is approximately 10 miles from the Hyatt Regency La Jolla.

Ground Transportation
The San Diego International Airport offers an Express Shuttle or Cloud 9 Shuttle for $15 one way per person to the Hyatt Regency La Jolla.
