What began in 1967 as the California Police Olympics is continuing to spread its influence across the United States of America. With the continued expansion to include all 50 states, the Games will be known as the United States Police and Fire Championships (USPFC). The Championships are the property of the California Police Athletic Federation and are presented in partnership with the San Diego Sports Commission. The Championships will represent over 55 different sporting events with nearly 5,000 competitors.
The purpose of the games is to encourage and promote a closer bond of fraternity and facilitate harmonious relations among members of the law enforcement and fire safety service at the Federal, State, County and Municipal levels through athletic competition.
The inaugural Championships will be hosted in San Diego, California, a city that lends itself as the perfect backdrop for the USPFC.
